What is it really like?

Whether it's serving the locals, creating an extra-special birthday celebration meal or just supporting your team through a busy shift, one things is for certain: no two days at Mitchells & Butlers are ever the same!

If the thought of being stuck behind a desk fills you with fear, our apprenticeships would be great for you. It allows you to get hands on, meeting new people every day, learning while you earn and gaining qualifications too. Our best apprentices are up for a challenge, ready for anything and great team players - If this is you, we want to hear from you!

Who can apply?

Our apprenticeships are open to everyone over the age of 16 and of school leaving age – you can begin an apprenticeship after the final Friday in June when you finish year 11. There is no upper age limit on our apprenticeship, so they are also great for people looking to start change career, or looking for their first role in hospitality.

There are also no entry requirements to our apprenticeship programmes – we are looking for personality and passion! If you do not have GCSE Maths and English, we can help you work towards Functional Skills.

Is an apprenticeship for me?

Yes, absolutely! There aren't any age restrictions on our apprenticeships so whilst being great for school leavers they also open up opportunities to learn new skills. Is now the right time to find a career you can be passionate about? Apply for an apprenticeship with us.

What are the entry requirements?

There aren't any! There are no entry requirements to any our apprenticeship programmes – we are looking for personality and passion! If you do not have GCSE Maths and English, we can help you work towards Functional Skills.

What career opportunities are there in the hospitality industry?

The hospitality industry employs 2.9m people - 9% of the UK workforce – and is the UK's fourth-largest industry. It is also one of few industries where you can develop your career and step into management fast. Apprentices with Mitchells & Butlers have already moved into Assistant Manager roles just 2.5 years after beginning their apprenticeship!

Why should I choose an apprenticeship with Mitchells and Butlers?

All our apprentices that have completed their apprenticeship have been offered a full-time role within our business. They can also continue onto further apprenticeships. We offer Level 2 apprenticeships right the way up to Level 5, so once you start your journey with us, you can continue right the way to a higher apprenticeship, equivalent to a foundation degree.
