Chef Apprenticeships

If you have little or no experience but are passionate about cooking, our chef apprenticeship will give you your moment to shine. We'll help you become confident in the kitchen and develop you into a vital member of any kitchen team.

As a kitchen apprentice, we'll give you on-the-job training to work in one of our busy kitchens, making sure every dish leaves the kitchen looking perfect. You'll be able to create our customers' favourite meals, all whilst keeping a safe and hygienic working environment. And, to top it off, you'll work in a fun, friendly atmosphere where every day is different.

With support from our passionate kitchen teams and your Regional Trainer, you'll work towards a Level 2 Hospitality Food Production Apprenticeship.

Once you click apply now, you will be redirected to a third party company, Lifetime Training, who hosts details of, and provides services in relation to, our apprenticeship scheme. Lifetime Training's terms and conditions

The entry requirements for chef apprenticeships

  • You must at least 16 and school-leaving age, and not be in full-time education. You also need the right to work in the UK, with no criminal convictions.
  • Our apprentices need to be hard working, with a positive attitude.  We don’t expect you to have any relevant experience - you just need a passion for food and desire to learn.
Although I've worked part-time in kitchens since I was 16, it's been this year working for Mitchells & Butlers that has taught me how to be a chef. I’ve learnt so much through doing the apprenticeship and can’t wait to progress at M&B.
