Bar and waiting apprenticeships

We want our guests to love visiting our pubs, bars and restaurants. That’s why we’re always looking for bar and waiting apprentices who can make it special by providing our guests with a friendly face from the minute they walk in.

As a bar and waiting apprentice, you will ensure that all our food and drinks are presented to guests perfectly. Your daily tasks will include taking payments, keeping a safe and hygienic working environment, and matching guests with the products they want, before they even want them! That’s why no two days are ever the same.

And from day 1, you get to be part of the fun, social atmosphere and great team moments. Your passionate team will help you towards a Level 2 Hospitality Team Member, Food and Beverage Apprenticeship.

Our bar and waiting apprentices are vital in running our businesses every day. And with no two days ever the same, you’ll love every moment.

The entry requirements for bar and waiting apprenticeships

You must be between school leaving age and 24, or school leaving age and 19 if you are in Scotland. You also need the right to work in the UK, no criminal convictions and not be in full time education.

We like our apprentices to be hard working, with a positive attitude and a desire to learn. A passion for people is vital, but we don’t expect you to have any relevant experience - we are looking for your personality and potential instead!

Our brands

I started the apprenticeship to get a qualification and be recognised for my knowledge, but also to work and earn. Whilst completing my bar and waiting apprenticeship, I’ve been given so much responsibility: training new team members and ensuring brand standards are always met. I can’t wait to progress to the next qualification and become a Shift Supervisor.
